So if you haven’t heard already, we picked a winning family for the home makeover contest, Destination Organization!! Remember the amazing news story that many of you saw and loved so much last year?!! The Destination Event was on February 16th.
The family this year is unbelievably generous in the community–from making sack lunches and spending quality time with homeless people on their weekends, to starting a serving ministry, and leading the men’s group at their church. They currently have three month old twins, who at three weeks old had to undergo surgery to correct a problem with their stomachs. The family is currently up to their eyeballs in medical bills, and Teri was laid off shortly after the twins’ were born. They cannot make it on Chris’ salary alone, yet childcare for infant twins is extremely costly, so Teri wants to begin a home-based business as a virtual assistant. Hence, winning this contest… we created a home office environment (that’s not in the kitchen, which is already crowded with two high chairs) as well as worked on their garage, living room, kitchen and bedrooms to make this family's life more organized.For an article in The Arizona Republic, please click here.
